High-Speed Imaging System
Photron, Inc. (San Diego, CA) has introduced the FASTCAM Mini UX50 rugged, lightweight high-speed camera. The new, 1.3 megapixel (1,280 x 1,024 pixels) high-speed sensor operates at 2,000 frames per second (fps) at full resolution, 2,500 fps at 720 HD resolution, and up to 160,000 fps at reduced resolution. Photron’s FASTCAM Mini UX50 is compact (120 mm x 120 mm x 90 mm) and lightweight (less than 1.5 Kg). It delivers light sensitivity to ISO 12232 Ssat standards: ISO 6,400 for monochrome and ISO 5,000 for color. Three memory options are available, 4GB, 8GB, or up to16 GB for extended recording durations and triggering flexibility.
