Aiding Automotive Workers Displaced by Coronavirus
A new, free employment platform developed by the AASA and APA Search connects displaced auto-industry workers with companies seeking to hire.

The Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Assn., in partnership with APA Search, has initiated a free platform to match automotive- and transportation-sector employers with industry employees who have lost their jobs as a result of the COVID-19 impacts. The platform was launched in early May to assist individuals in finding new opportunities that enable the industry to retain their specialized experience.
The new platform is based on the APA Search website and seeks to “provide unemployed automotive aftermarket professionals with opportunities to be found and hired quickly by automotive industry companies,” the AASA said in a release. For employers, the website provides a free, searchable and indexed database of automotive associates with vital industry skills and experience. The database has been updated to accommodate all positions related to the transportation industry.
Automotive-industry individuals who have lost their positions can register at: www.register.apasearch.com . Meanwhile, auto-industry employers who would like to search the database can register at www.register.apasearch.com/employer/register .

Retaining valuable people in our essential industry is how the automotive aftermarket will continue to grow and prosper in the future despite the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.”
The AASA is a division of MEMA, the trade association for motor vehicle and mobility suppliers and parts manufacturers and remanufacturers.
