SAE Course Delivers an Introduction to the Latest Aviation Cybersecurity Essentials

As of 2019, the only acceptable mean of compliance (AMC) for U.S. Federal Aviation Administration  and European Union Aviation Safety Agency  aviation cybersecurity airworthiness certification are the international D-326A (US) and ED-202A (EU) Airworthiness Security Process Specifications. SAE International’s two-day course, DO-326A and ED-202A: An Introduction to the New and Mandatory Aviation Cyber-Security Essentials , introduces attendees to industry best practices for real-world aviation cybersecurity risk assessment, development, assurance.

This seminar presents the information necessary to help minimize DO-326/ED-202 compliance risks and costs, while also optimizing cybersecurity levels for the development, deployment, in-service phases of aircraft systems. The instructor, Aharon David, guides attendees who possess a basic software or information technology (IT) through topics such as aircraft security aspects of safety, the systems approach to security, security planning, the airworthiness security process, and security effectiveness assurance.
