Micro-Coaxial Cable
Times Microwave Systems (Wallingford, CT) introduces its new TF-047 micro-coaxial cable, offering high performance and reliability in a compact footprint. TF-047 is a SwaP-C solution with extensive connector capability for easy routing in space-constrained areas, with an overall diameter of 0.055 in./1.40 mm and can support bends as tight as of 0.20 in./5.08 mm. TF-047 is optimized to perform from DC to 50 GHz. The new, lightweight TF-047 micro-coaxial cable (maximum weight of 3.77 lbs./1.71 kg per 1,000 feet) is available with a variety of push-on and threaded connectors.

Annapolis Micro Systems (Annapolis, MD) is now shipping the industry’s first COTS Card to feature Jariet Technologies’ Electra-MA chip with 64 GS/s, 10-bit ADC and DAC capability. The SOSA™-aligned WILD FMC+ DME1 Card is targeted at demanding applications requiring direct sampling frequency coverage anywhere from 0.1 to 36 GHz (VHF through Ka-band), and/or wide instantaneous bandwidths. The breakthrough direct sampling Jariet transceiver performs frequency conversion and filtering in the digital domain, eliminating the need for costly analog frequency conversion.

The first solution platform is the conga-STDA4, a SMARC Computer-on-Module featuring the industrial-grade Arm® Cortex®-based TDA4VM processor. Using a system-on-chip architecture, TI incorporates accelerated vision and AI processing, real-time control, and functional safety capabilities into their TDA4VM processor. ORC5000 ASIC
Orca Systems (San Diego, CA) has introduced a highly integrated ASIC platform that significantly improves system performance and reduces power consumption for power-sensitive space, terrestrial, industrial and edge computing applications. Orca’s new ORC5000 ASIC platform has been applied to develop Orca’s first ASIC product, the ORC5990, designed for use in low-Earth orbit (LEO) IoT satellite payload and terrestrial IoT gateway designs. Infineon (Munich, Germany) has introduced its integrated single-port USB-C Power Delivery (PD) solution with integrated buck-boost controllers, EZ-PD™ PMG1-B1. While complying to the latest USB-C and PD specifications, EZ-PD™ PMG1-B1 has an integrated gate driver for VBUS NFET on the consumer path for sink application. It also includes hardware-controlled protection features on the VBUS. EZ-PD™ PMG1-B1 supports a wide input voltage range (4 to 24V with 40V tolerance) and programmable switching frequency (150 to 600 kHz) in an integrated PD solution.

The new socket features low force 14g per contact spring pin along with high bandwidth 31.7 GHz for high-speed applications. Rad Tolerant Memory Card
Aitech (Chatsworth, CA) has released the S993, a radiation-tolerant 3U CompactPCI memory card that provides up to 1 TB of on-board storage Space NAND flash with all 8 NAND modules installed for a variety of space applications. Both versatile and performance, the new memory board provides high-capacity, non-volatile Flash memory for reliable data storage in both in-orbit spaceflight and downlink communications to earth-bound base stations. The space-rated memory card includes built-in hardware error detection and correction (EDAC) to correct single-bit errors and detect double-bit errors as well as offers a low single event upset (SEU)-rate and high latch up immunity. The new S993 also includes a Flash Translation Layer (FTL) to handle writes and wear leveling, bad block management and garbage collection, offloading this function from the host processors.

Miniature Data Acquisition and Encoding
Curtiss Wright Defense Solutions (Ashburn, VA) has introduced their next generation miniature network data acquisition (MnACQ) encoding product, the MnACQ-2700. The new MnACQ-2700 enables an Ethernet-based network data acquisition solution for analog and bus data capture and system safety monitoring applications. With two Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) ports that support both 100Base-T and 1000Base-T, the product provides total data (a.k.a. bulk data) and selected data to an FTI network for demanding applications such as new aircraft development and technology refresh programs. The MnACQ-2700 also provides Pulse-code modulation (PCM) outputs up to 40 Mbps for real-time telemetry of mission and safety critical data. The product is configurable using IRIG-106 metadata description language (MDL) and by Curtiss-Wright’s TTCWare software utility.

The MPLAB SiC Power Simulator is a PLECS-based software environment designed in collaboration with Plexim to provide an online complimentary tool that eliminates the need to purchase a simulation license. The MPLAB SiC Power Simulator accelerates the design process of various SiC-based power topologies. The tool can speed up time to market by delivering a comprehensive SiC evaluation that not only provides valuable benchmarking data but also reduces component selection times. A power electronics designer deciding between a 25 mΩ and 40 mΩ SiC MOSFET for a three-phase active front end converter can get immediate simulation results, such as average power dissipation and peak junction temperature of the devices.
