CoroMill Solid End Mills
Sandvik Coromant is expanding its line of CoroMill® Dura versatile solid end mills with aluminum-specific tools. “These new, truly versatile end mills for aluminum machining are developed to have excellent capabilities in all applications,” says Antti Wikström, Global Product Manager, Solid End Mills, at Sandvik Coromant. “One of the main advantages of the new CoroMill Dura aluminum-specific end mills is their versatile performance in all different types of roughing applications, while also offering finishing capabilities. Midnight Sun AI Detection System
Midnight Sun AI from Skybrowse is designed to detect, analyze, and differentiate between operators and unknown personnel. Unknown personnel GPS coordinates are displayed as red dots in 3 dimensions, while friendlies are shown in blue. It can also be trained to detect vehicles, missile damage, and other objects of interest, making it an invaluable BDA manager. The best part? Midnight Sun is compatible with any video source, making its applications limitless. To view operators and other identified objects for optimal actionable intelligence, a recently-generated 3D model of the incident scene can be made using Skye-Browse rapid videogrammetry software.
Rohde & Schwarz launched their new EVSD1000 VHF/UHF nav/drone analyzer. The analyzer provides highly accurate and efficient drone inspection of terrestrial navigation and communications systems along with outstanding accuracy and the measurement repeatability customers need. The analyzer is a signal level and modulation analyzer for medium-sized drones. It is the only instrument that combines measurements of instrument landing systems (ILS), ground-based augmentation systems (GBAS) and VHF omnirange (VOR) ground stations in a single box. The mechanical and electrical design is optimized for drone based, real-time measurements of terrestrial navigation systems with up to 100 measurement data sets per second.
Mil-Spec GPS/GNSS Antennas
Fairview Microwave has introduced a new series of mil-spec GPS/GNSS antennas for use in a variety of mobile and small form factor applications. Fairview’s mil-spec GPS/GNSS antennas provide coverage from 1597 MHz to 1607 MHz, are available in active and passive versions, and are IP67-rated to address harsh environments. These MIL-STD-810G GPS/GNSS antennas include multi-standard GPS L1, GALLILEO E1 and GLONASS options and are designed for environmental performance according to the MIL-STD-810G standard. Additionally, these GPS/GNSS antennas feature nominal gain options of -3 dBic and +10 dBic, linear polarization for enhanced cross-polarized isolation, and SMA mounts.
HevenDrones has launched its first hydrogen-powered drone for commercial use, the H2D55. With five times greater energy efficiency than traditional lithium battery-powered drones, the H2D55 is capable of flying for 100 minutes with a payload capacity of 7kg. The launch of HevenDrones’ hydrogen product line addresses the challenge of flight endurance and payload capacity associated with lithium battery-powered drones as well as the long term environmental impact linked to lithium mining. Without the need to frequently replace batteries, hydrogen fuel cells will also lower long term ownership costs for organizations implementing drone technology at scale.
3U OpenVPX Backplane
Pixus Technologies now offers new 3U OpenVPX backplane configurations in 2, 3, 6, 13, and 16 slot versions per the VITA 65 specification. There are also some versions aligned to the SOSA technical standard. The first in the series of new OpenVPX backplanes is a 2-slot design with a BKP3-DIS02-15.2.8 routing profile. The design supports speeds up to 40GbE and PCIe Gen3. The size is attractive for small form factor Air Transport Racks (ATRs), development systems, or other compact systems. Options with and without the RTM connectors and VITA 62 power supply slots installed are available.
HyperX System on Chip
Coherent Logix announced the launch of HyperX Midnight, the company’s fourth generation HyperX™ SoC for the Space 2.0 market. With the release of HyperX Midnight, Coherent Logix now leads the market with up to four times the computing throughput, half the power consumption and a 40 percent lower price point as compared to leading radiation-hardened FPGAs. This high-performance, low-SWaP (Size, Weight, and Power) combination is a game-changer for Space 2.0 companies, enabling far greater capabilities to be packaged in smaller satellite buss sizes, dramatically lowering launch costs, and accelerating industry growth.
FPGA Development Kit
Developers using FPGAs to meet satellite system payload and throughput requirements can speed designs by prototyping with space-qualified devices rather than commercial off-the-shelf silicon. Microchip Technology announces it has combined its flight-ready RT PolarFire® FPGA with the development kit and interfaces for evaluating design concepts based on actual in-flight electrical and mechanical characteristics. The RT PolarFire development kit supports various daughter boards and includes two fully populated high-pin count (HPC) FPGA mezzanine card connectors, DDR3 DIMM and RT Gigabit Ethernet connection, SPI flash memory, and SubMiniature Version A (SMA) connectors. Also included is radiation data and the Libero® software tool suite for programming the RT PolarFire FPGA.
Print Preparation Software
Velo3D has announced the latest release of its Flow print preparation software. Flow 5.0 unlocks an array of new capabilities for engineers using Velo3D’s fully integrated solution including user-selectable core parameter sets that provide enhanced control over builds with the ability to assign different parameters to any part on the build plate. This improvement, in addition to Flow’s ability to apply skin and contour overrides, gives customers enhanced control over the final material properties of printed parts.

Great River Technology has introduced the stand alone module (SAM) G3, a compact and portable converter that facilitates ARINC 818 to/from HDMI conversion. With support for up to 15 different factory video formats, the SAM G3 is incredibly versatile and easy to use. Users can select the desired video format and transmit an internal test pattern via a touch screen interface on the unit. Loaded formats can have different conversion directions, video resolutions, pixel types and link rates up to 10 Gbps.
Clamshell Spring Pin Socket
Ironwood Electronics has introduced its new spring pin socket designed for compatibility with power transistors. Constructed with stamped spring pin technology rated for 23GHz bandwidth with operating temperature range of -55C to +180C. Current capacity is 4 Amps with self-inductance of 0.93 nH and capacitance of 0.097 pF. With lever operation, it is easy to swap device and characterize.

The new DTS1+ single slot network attached storage (NAS) device features enhanced performance and capabilities while retaining the same form/fit/function as the DTS1, industry’s first commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) data-at-rest (DAR) storage solution to support two layers of full disk encryption (FDE) in a single device. The DTS1+ is designed to store and protect large amounts of data on helicopters, fighters, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV), unmanned underwater vehicles (UUV), unmanned ground vehicles (UGV), and intelligence surveillance reconnaissance (ISR) aircraft that require the protection of sensitive DAR to international standards.
