RF Diagnostic Chamber
The R&S DST200 RF diagnostic chamber from Rohde and Schwarz (Columbia, MD) allows wireless device developers to perform reproducible, radiated RF measurements, including tests for self-interference, radiated emissions, coexistence, and antenna radiation verification. The compact benchtop chamber (770 × 760 × 695 mm) features a 700 MHz to 6 GHz broadband test antenna and simulates conditions that approximate free space. The shielding effectiveness of the chamber, made possible by a door-lock mechanism, exceeds 110 dB, allowing sensitivity tests on GPS receivers with input levels of below 160 dBm. The chamber also includes shielded compartments for additional hardware like preamplifiers and RF filters, as well as a 3D positioner to move tested equipment to any defined position relative to the antenna.
