Backplane Connector
Tyco Electronics (Harrisburg, PA) offers the FORTIS ZD high-speed backplane connector for military and aerospace applications that require shock and vibration protection. The connector combines a high-speed contact leadframe with a separable contact interface. A metal shell offers robustness in the mating interface and the outer shell of the connector. It allows data rates of 10 Gbs+, and is designed to enable improved communications, situational awareness, and command/control and training.
