Manufacturing Test Platform for Printed Circuit Board Assemblies

Teradyne (North Reading, MA) has launched Omnyx, a manufacturing test platform for printed circuit board assemblies, engineered to meet the unique test requirements of AI and data centers. Teradyne Omnyx sets a new standard by integrating structural, parametric, high-speed interconnect, and functional tests into a single platform. Teradyne Omnyx incorporates high-speed interconnect and mission-mode/software-directed tests providing coverage for at-speed and operational defects, typically only detectable at functional test insertions. With this approach, manufacturers improve component and sub-assembly quality by detecting costly defects earlier in the manufacturing process.

New Linear Stage Configurator

PI (Shrewsbury, MA) has introduced an online linear stage configurator for its Modular Precision Linear stage family. Engineers can configure stages online by selecting from a wide range of travel ranges, motors, drive technologies, and feedback options. The MPL concept allows thousands of configurations by combining different travel ranges, drives, motors, and feedback systems. Instead of selecting from fixed designs, engineers can build a motion solution tailored to their exact application requirements. Online configuration and visualization tools help engineers quickly evaluate options and identify the optimal stage configuration.
