All automotive ECUs depend heavily on operating systems (OS) to manage multiple applications and hardware components. Ongoing complexity of ECUs is on the rise and, therefore, is increasing the OS complexity, especially in efforts to achieve safety requirements for ASIL-B and ASIL-C to ASIL-D use cases.
This 60-minute webinar will examine a key automotive solution for Classic AUTOSAR-driven ECUs QM to ASIL-B and ASIL-C to ASIL-D use cases including two operating systems that are optimized for either safety requirement pair. It will look at how to successfully implement projects in AUTOSAR and safety goals. Attendees will discover why the combination of FFI-certified middleware with safety OS is crucial for ASIL-D projects including full implementation of ISO 26262 according to ASIL-D. This safety element out of context fully takes the safety manual of the hardware into account, and memory partitioning techniques enable the safe coexistence of QM and ASIL-D applications.
Key topics and takeaways:
- Learn how to successfully implement ASIL-B projects with FFI-certified Classic AUTOSAR implementation via a one-stop-shop solution with an OS that is optimized for ASIL-B use cases
- Learn how to safely deploy QM and ASIL-B applications on the same ECU
- Explore how to achieve ASIL-B goals without further supplier interaction by using a safety application guide
- Understand the importance of combining FFI-certified middleware with safety OS for ASIL-D projects
An audience Q&A will follow the technical presentation.
