Compact Power Analyzer

A new family of Rohde & Schwarz (Munich, Germany) power analyzers is now available in three models to meet all requirements for measuring voltage, current, power and total harmonic distortion on both DC and AC sources. The R&S NPA101 power meter provides all basic measurements, the R&S NPA501 power analyzer adds enhanced measurement functions and graphical analysis, and the R&S NPA701 compliance tester includes evaluation functions in line with IEC 62301 and EN 50564 for power consumption and EN 61000-3-2 for EMC harmonic emission testing.

4K Rugged LCD Monitor

Eizo Rugged Solutions, Inc. (Orlando, FL) has introduced the Talon RGD2443W – a 24-inch 4K rugged LCD monitor for displaying high-detail applications, such as those used in naval display systems, mission/ground control stations, and airborne ISR operations. SWaP-C constraints often limit the mechanical and technical capabilities of modern LCD monitors, especially for solutions introducing 4K or higher resolution supported systems. Motorized Actuator

Emerson (St. Louis, MO) has introduced the new ASCO™ Series 148/149 safety valve and motorized actuator designed for industrial fuel oil burner recirculation and safety shutoff applications. The new solution provides a reliable, versatile tool for industrial users to prevent overpressure, leaks, and system malfunctions that can lead to health and safety incidents, with one configuration suited to a wide range of combustion system applications. The valve and actuator are designed to be used together in one system for fuel oil recirculation as a safety shutoff. The combination is a compact two- and three-way system with a motorized actuator that achieves rapid, reliable fuel line shutoff from an open to closed position in less than one second.

SOSA Aligned Chassis Manager

Pixus Technologies (Waterloo, Ontario) now offers a Tier 3 SOSA aligned chassis management module for OpenVPX that is pluggable. The SHM200 chassis manager for OpenVPX is compliant to VITA 46.11 for system management. The unit comes in 3U and 6U sizes and in VITA 48.1 format for air cooled systems and VITA 48.2 format for conduction cooled systems. The Tier 3 chassis manager can plug into a standard 3U VPX backplane slot in the P0 connector position.

Ultra-Broadband Mixer IC

mmTron (Redwood City, CA) announced our latest disruptive product: an active mixer providing frequency conversion from 20 to 80 GHz. In addition to its bandwidth, the TMC170D stands out with 0 dB average conversion loss across the band and an LO drive of only 0 dBm. The InP semiconductor-based design achieves RF and LO coverage from 20 to 80 GHz and an IF from kHz to 70 GHz, the low IF frequency limited only by the size of an external blocking capacitor. The mixer has an integrated LO amplifier that eliminates the need for an external LO buffer amplifier and requires only 0 dBm drive.

It delivers high-performance processing and four channels each of 64 Gsps A/D and D/A converting at 10-bit resolution. The WILDSTAR™ 3AE1 3U OpenVPX FPGA Processor (WB3AE1) integrates the Agilex™ 9 AGRW027 FPGA in a standard 3U VPX SOSA™-aligned Plug-In Card (PIC) form factor. The AGRW027 FPGA delivers similar performance as the AGRW014 FPGA but with double the channels: 8x transmit and 8x receive.
