FSPN50 Phase Noise Analyzer

With the latest model of the R&S FSPN phase noise analyzer and VCO tester, Rohde & Schwarz (Munich, Germany) extends the frequency range for measurements from the previous maximum of 26.5 GHz up to 50 GHz. The R&S FSPN provides both high speed measurements and also accuracy for characterizing sources such as synthesizers, VCOs, OCXOs and DROs. Since a trade-off between increasing speed of test and higher accuracy is inevitable, users can choose the setting best suiting their application. This makes the R&S FSPN an ideal solution not only for production test, but also for many oscillator development requirements.

Sherwin-Williams (Andover, KS) is introducing a new universal clearcoat: Aerospace Clearcoat (CM0ACC201). This high-gloss, durable product delivers maximum results in terms of appearance and protection and also provides versatile application options, from flexible wet edge times to fast repairs. Aerospace Clearcoat can be used over all Sherwin-Williams basecoats (such as SKY-scapes® basecoats, Jet Glo® Express and Acry Glo), as well as over properly prepared dry topcoat systems (such as Acry Glo products). It’s capable of handling a variety of aircraft sizes and types and provides simple, quick repairs with the Accelerator (CMO8181HJR).

30 kW Wireless Charging System

Delta Electronics (Hoofddorp, The Netherlands) announced its new M∞Vair 30 kW Wireless Charging System, which has recently obtained Federal Communications Commission (FCC) approval and METus* certification. The M∞Vair 30 kW model boasts 95 percent contactless power conversion efficiency and can be applied to large industrial e-vehicles, such as electric forklifts, heavy-load AGVs, yard trucks, and airport ground support equipment. Delta’s M∞Vair Series Wireless Charging Systems adopt industrial wireless charging technology, which is licensed by WiTricity, a U.S. wireless charging technology company.

Over the Air Test for NB-NTN

Keysight Technologies (Santa Rosa, CA) and ETS-Lindgren announce an industry-first over-the-air (OTA) test solution for devices supporting the narrowband non-terrestrial networks (NB-NTN) technology. Non-terrestrial networks (NTN), a feature of 3GPP Release 17 (Rel-17), enables cellular communications to be delivered by satellite, providing secure, reliable, and high bandwidth coverage to isolated locations globally. Working in close partnership, Keysight and ETS-Lindgren developed a joint OTA test solution for measuring and validating the transmitter / receiver performance of devices supporting NB-NTN.

SOLO L Tooling

HEULE (Cincinnati, OH) has introduced SOLO L tooling for spot facing and counterboring projects over 25 mm. Front and back counterbores up to 1.95×bore diameter can be produced in bores ranging from 25.0mm – 45.0mm in diameter. SOLO L features a simple, reliable design which functions without an anti-rotation device, change in spindle rotation, coolant pressure, or Contact mechanism. This sealed system prevents coolant contamination, and the pin-driven cutting blade, which moves in and out radially, prevents chips from jamming the system.

RF Edge Launch Connectors

Samtec (New Albany, IN) has released a new line of RF edge launch connectors with a narrow body design that is 33 percent smaller than traditional edge launch connectors. These connectors are commonly used in a lab setting for high-frequency test and measurement applications, high-speed digital component test and evaluation boards.
