Kodiak Robotics, Inc.  has begun making commercial truck deliveries in Texas using its new self-driving, long-haul trucking platform with safety drivers behind the wheel. The Mountain View, California-based startup is just 16 months old.

Kodiak operates as a true freight carrier, with a growing fleet of self-driving trucks operating on "middle mile" highway routes for freight customers in Texas. Its intent is to make trucking safer while reducing the cost of freight delivery and – for longer routes – time.

Kodiak is developing a new facility in North Texas to supporting its growing testing and freight operations in the region – an expansion that will further Texas’ reputation as a leader in logistics and transportation.
