Curtiss-Wright Will Provide Data Technology Support for Boeing’s MQ-25 Unmanned Air Refueling Platform

The Boeing Company (Boeing) awarded a data technology systems contract to Curtiss-Wright Corporation ’s (Curtiss Wright’s) Defense Solutions division for the Boeing MQ-25 Stingray unmanned aircraft system (UAS). Curtiss Wright will support Boeing’s engineering and manufacturing development (EMD) program to provide four MQ-25 aircraft to the U.S. Navy for initial operational capability by 2024.
The MQ-25 is the U.S. Navy’s first operational carrier-based UAS and is designed to provide a much-needed, low-cost refueling capability to aircraft like the Boeing F/A-18 Super Hornet, Boeing EA-18 Growler, and Lockheed Martin F-35C fighters.
“We are very proud that our data system solution was selected by Boeing for use on the aircraft carrier-deployed MQ-25 unmanned tanker aircraft,” says Lynn Bamford, senior vice president and general manager of Curtiss Wright’s Defense Solutions division.
