Automated Guided Vehicle Platform
Agile1500 Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) platform from Comau (Turin, Italy) features the flexibility to be deployed across a wide range of manufacturing and non-manufacturing scenarios. According to Comau, it is the first AGV within the new platform and fully expresses the company's open automation design approach. Modular, scalable and completely reconfigurable, Agile1500 can carry up to 1500 kg (3310 lb) with a maximum speed of 1.7 m/s. With these characteristics, Comau claims the new AGV can significantly facilitate core operations including just-in-time and just-in-sequence production, as well as optimized logistic flows inside the factory, improved warehouse management and better overall production efficiency. Agile1500 responds to the logistics imposed by Industry 4.0.
