Acrylic Polyurethane Coating
Sixteen AIC Metal Direct factory package colors have been added to ACME Quality Paints’ AIC product line for industrial, machinery, and equipment applications. AIC Metal Direct is a fast-drying, direct-to-metal, high-gloss, chemical-resistant coating for high film build and is recommended on industrial applications requiring durability and sag-resistance such as farm and construction equipment, dumpsters, oil rigs, mining equipment, machinery, trailer frames, truck boxes, lawn and garden equipment, and metal parts. Metal Direct is a low-VOC acrylic polyurethane with improved hiding, is free of lead and chromate hazards, and is packaged in a 6-gal (23-L) container for easy mixing. The coating is suitable for various substrates including blasted cold or hot rolled steel, sheet molded compound, or fiberglass-reinforced plastic. The coating offers quick dry times, including a minimum recoat time in 20 min, and is tack free in 1.5 h.
